My demo, but now with beautiful sound effects, thanks to the wonderful X-Trav. He’s the Sound Designer behind our recent Lackadaisy Dub! <3
Last month I had the vast displeasure of my iLok suddenly refusing to be detected by any and all machines. My iLok would still light up when plugged in, but would never be recognized. I tried reinstalling and/or updating my software and drivers as suggested on the PACE website all to no avail.
The first time I contacted PACE support explaining everything they told me that I was using an unsupported browser and to download Internet explorer.
I put up another ticket, this time emphasizing that my USB port would not detect the iLok. They told me to download the latest software update. Not protesting, I updated the software again and the same issue popped up.
I sent another support ticket again, emphasizing that my USB PORTS were not identifying my iLok, the same support worker gave me a SPECIAL 64BIT DRIVER to install. I did, same issue.
You know that next email explained my iLok wasn’t being detected.this time I was to install a Pace Anti-Piracy Helper update.
The succeeding email again explained that I already updated all the whips and chains this plastic torture device requires to work properly and emphasized that the HARDWARE was the issue. I was told to look in my Windows Service and see if Pace License Service was running, and to install it if it wasn’t. It was.
I told them it was working but my iLok was not, support then said that it was unclear whether my Pace License Services was working and requested a screenshot of my Services Window.
Afterwards I get this EXACT reply;
“Hello X-Trav,
If after also installing the InterLok drivers successfully on multiple systems and these multiple systems report the same issue with that one iLok, there is an issue with the iLok…”
I wanted to cry, but this was just the beginning. Lo and behold this broken iLok and the severe measurements of anti piracy were about to transform in to a torrential storm of putrid vomit that I would soon have to allow down my throat.
“…A replacement via our RMA process will need to be provided.”
OH BOY HERE WE GO
the RMA process is what you must do when the studded fist in your ass, Pace Anti Piracy, stops working. In order to get a new fist in your ass you need to get a replacement iLok, but they made damn sure that you suffer.
Currently I have a two year warranty on my iLok allowing a free replacement of the device.
The device
THIS COMPANY CHARGES FIFTY DOLLARS TO TRANSFER LICENSES FROM ILOK TO ILOK. JUST TO TRANSFER THEM. BECAUSE APPARENTLY MY LICENSES ONLY EXSIST IN MY BROKEN PIECE OF PLASTIC, NOT ONLY THAT BUT THEY CHARGE A FUCKING HEINOUSLY UNETHICAL, FIFTY DOLLARS FOR SHIPPING THE NEW ILOK. A NEW FUCKING ILOK COSTS FIFTY DOLLARS. I”SAVE” FIFTY BUCKS OF ONE-HUNDRED AND FIFTY FROM MY WARRANTY. I HAVE TO PAY MORE FOR A REPLACEMENT. THIS PROCESS ALSO TAKES A GODDAMN MONTH AND DISABLES ALL YOUR LICENSES DURING, BUT BECAUSE THEY LIKE TO FUCK WITH YOU THEY OFFER TO GIVE YOU TEMPORARY LICENSES AT A COST OF THIRTY DOLLARS, PLUS. PLUS. A ONE-HUNDRED DOLLAR ACTIVATION FEE. BUT WAIT…
Wait.
If you buy the temporary licenses. YOU NEED TO BUY ANOTHER FUCKING ILOK TO KEEP THEM IN. AN ILOK WHICH AFTER THE TEMPORARY LICENSES, (WHICH ONLY LAST TWO WEEKS BY THE WAY) EXPIRE, IS UNUSABLE.
so I have two options, walk away and render THOUSANDS of dollars worth of vsts useless, or pay for this festering pile of shit and wait patiently for a new iLok.
I swear to god I have never been more AGGRAVATED as a consumer. I DON’T PIRATE THIS SHIT, because I want to be professional with my music, and I get severely punished for it. I swear to god I would pirate every last product the iLok secures out of principle if I could.
It’s been two months since I’ve actually made a piece now, all thanks to this shitty USB device.

Hey guys, as many of you don’t know, I’ve done a ton of work on the Fangame Welcome to Ponyville. Today, pony fangame oriented website Equestriagaming.com uploaded a flash version of the game on their website without our permission. They even admit that we might get pissed that they did this.
As some of you may know, Equestria Gaming posted a highly negative review of our game, which is fine, opinions are always allowed. Our game got the highly coveted score of 4/10, and the reviewer greatly expressed his dislike for the game!
This leads to even more puzzlement to the fact that they uploaded the game on their own website. They hate this game. They hate us, perfect example being, my work was also featured during their Pon-E3 event, this time with My Little Investigations and not a negative word uttered. But the moment Filly Gamez enters the scene, it’s thrown into an arena of negativity.
So this group created an unauthorized port of our game without any consultation towards us or any expressed permission, and uploaded to their website while acknowledging the fact that they did so despite contacting us and that we will get pissed.
Please spread the word so that this can be avoided for all fan projects in the fandom, and the hard work that all fan developers do wont be stolen.

Like a phoenix being reborn, we arise from the ashes of a 7 month hiatus with another hilarious episode of Scan For Prince!
With new knowledge that there is indeed a changeling Blueblood in their midst, Hoity Toity and Fancypants set out to stop him. Meanwhile, the real Blueblood remains lost in a forest, with none the wiser. Will the changeling’s plan come to fruition? Can Fancy and Hoity stop him before it’s too late? Will the real Blueblood drive himself bananas trying to get back? Find out in part II of “Scan for Prince”!
This is the very best of my work, please have a listen!
Hey everyone, I finally got around to releasing an album! The music was all created for Ponyinabox’s Daring Do Adventures series which I also edit. Behold; Daring Do and the Sapphire Stone: Original Soundtrack!
